The Plant.net doesn’t capture/store any personal information about individuals who access this website, except where members of The Plant voluntarily choose to share personal details. We will not disclose this information to any other person(s) or organisation(s), except where members choose to share information with other memers.
You have a right to know about the personal information The Plant holds about you. You also have a right to have your data corrected or deleted if it is being held inappropriately. Please address all your requests and/or queries about our Data Protection policy to the website administrator using the contact form.
Emails
All email generated from this site is stored and is accessible to the Webmaster in order to monitor for abuse. All information is treated as being strictly confidential.
Cookies
The Plant.net doesn’t normally send cookies and only monitors the IP address of visitors to assess which pages are the most popular. These IP addresses aren’t linked to any personal data so that visitors to our site remain anonymous. There are two exceptions to these rules:
- To enable your computer to automatically sign you in when you return to the site we store a Cookie on your PC with your login ID. If you have you security setting set too high the site will still function, although the automatic sign-in function will not be available.
- We temporarily store the IP address and details of all emails sent from our website in order to monitor abuse of the email facility and if nessisary act accordingly. The record is purged on a rolling 24-hour basis.
