Mission Partners
All Christians are called to be part of God's mission in the world, but some 'give up their day job' to do it. The Plant supports various mission partners around the world who are all former or present members of Plant churches.
- Sharon Crossland is encouraging independent school CUs in the north of England.
- John & Flick Hindley are planting churches in North Norfolk.
- Rachel Bass is helping student CUs in the Manchester area.
- Tim Sandell is at Bible College in London.
There are also former Plant members who are working in sensitive situations which mean it's not safe for us to publicise details of their ministry:
- We have mission partners in West Asia, where biblical faith in Jesus is illegal. Please pray that they would be kept safe, yet still have many opportunities to tell people about Jesus.
- One of our mission partners is part of a team developing a website service that has now launched and is able to distribute audio, video and text-based Scriptures to language communities in Europe and Asia through computers and hand-held devices. Please pray that this venture would be effective and productive in spreading God's word around the world.
- Another mission partner is working in a country in East Asia where it is very difficult for them to talk openly about Christianity. Please pray that those involved in this ministry would be kept safe, yet still have many opportunities to tell people about Jesus.
MISSION PARTNERS
One of the great things the Plant achieves is that it is accessible, seeker friendly, informal (dare I say it, contemporary?) and has a great emphasis on community, whilst at the same time being fully Gospel centred, and rock-solid doctrinally, with Christ being the foundation of all that it does. This is a rare combination, and I feel privileged to call it my 'home church'!
