Families at The Plant
Children welcome at The Plant
For families and children interested in visiting or joining The Plant, our Sunday@10 meeting is most appropriate as there is a Kids' Club each week for part of the meeting (usually during the main talk and discussion). This means that children stay in the meeting and take part as we share breakfast together, giving them a chance to meet and get to know other Plant members. They will usually also be in with everyone else for songs and prayers as well as when we share the Lord's Supper.
Kids' Club
Our Kids' Club is led by Plant members and staff who are fully CRB checked and cleared. We always aim to have at least one experienced leader who is confident at teaching children involved with each session. Kids' Club meets in a separate room across the hall (just opposite) from our main meeting room which means that children can make noise (and have fun!) without distracting the rest of the church. This also means that should a child become distressed one of our leaders can quickly and easily alert the parents.
What we do in Kids' Club
Kids' Club aims to faithfully teach children about Jesus Christ as their risen Lord and Saviour through God's word in an appropriate and engaging manner. It often involves games and/or crafts that help to illustrate what we have been leaning about from the bible and we always pray.
Kids' Club usually mirrors the teaching rota from the main meetings too which means parents and children are being taught from the same part of God's word and can talk about it together more easily. All of our material is written by Plant staff or members and this is overseen by one of our Ministry Trainees, Matt Timmins, under the authority and supervision of John Hindley, one of our Ministers. This helps with our aim to pitch our material very specifically to any children we know are planning to attend. So please do let us know if you're planning to visit Sunday@10 and are bringing any children along by emailing
kids.club@theplant.net and we will give them a special welcome and endeavour to cater for their ages.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to email
kids.club@theplant.net. We look forward to seeing you!
