Conferences and Events

Conferences and events

As well as running various courses, The Plant runs conferences and events, and makes use of some run by other organisations. Some of these are aimed at particular groups, such as the Men’s and Women’s Conventions. Others are opportunities to address a particular issue, such as the evening we spent looking at the roles of men and women in church. There are also regional and national conferences which are opportunities to meet with other Christians and be taught by some godly and gifted speakers.

The North West Evangelical Leaders’ Assembly (NW ELA)

This is an annual conference, over a Friday and Saturday in Leyland. It is a great chance to meet up with other Christians from around the North West, to hear some great teaching and be challenged and encouraged to live for Christ and serve him in our region and our churches.

In 2008 the NW ELA will be 25th and 26th January 2008. More information and booking details can be found at http://www.northwestpartnership.com/conferences.php

New Word Alive

New Word Alive is a national conference, bringing together Christians from all around the country. This is a five-day opportunity to hear some exciting teaching from the Bible and to attend one or two seminar streams from a wide variety on offer. It is running from 7th – 11th April 2008 and we will be taking a group from The Plant. Stephen Harbage is organising this group, so do talk to him if you would like to know more about that.
