Cafe 3-16

Cafe 3-16

Cafe 3-16 is run by a partnership between the Christian Unions, The Plant and Holy Trinity Platt.

Every Wednesday from 2.30-5pm the Mill will be open for international students (particularly undergraduates) to come along and enjoy fairly traded hot drink, cakes, music, games and to build friendships.

The name of the cafe is a refernce to a Bible verse. In chapter 3, verse 16 of John's gospel, Jesus says that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life". The cafe aims to express some of God's love for the whole world, through serving the people from all around the world who come to Manchester to study. Cafe 3-16 will be a place where friendships can grow and develop and through these friendships Christians will express the love that God shows for the whole world.

If you are a student then it would be great for you to invite international students to cafe 3-16, or to come along with them. Whether you are a student or not it would be great for you to be praying for both the Cafe 3-16 team as they serve the students they meet, and for international students that they would come along and turn to the God who loves then.
