As the only trainee and the only girl on the staff team, it looks like I will have my work cut out for me this year! However, I am really excited to be able to serve The Plant full time. When I first became a member I was already a Christian, after choosing to follow Jesus Christ as a child, but felt very distant from God after some difficult experiences. The clear teaching, chances to question and loving atmosphere at the Plant were exactly what I needed to encourage me to keep trusting God. Over this year I’m looking forwards to learning more about God through the North West Training Course, getting to know lots of members better and serving in the day-to-day life of The Plant, as we share the gospel with the people of Manchester.
Whilst I love the city of Manchester, it is not my original home, and I will always be a proud Southerner. Before becoming a Ministry Trainee I completed a degree in English at MMU and got married to Tom, who is a member of Monday@7. We enjoy living near both Platt Fields (for exercise) and the Curry Mile (to undo any good work!).
